Project 4 is set on an offshore oil rig in the Pacific Ocean, somewhere between Australia and the Philippines. Now defunct and abandoned by corporations many years prior, the rig has been repopulated and transformed into a hub for travelling traders, scavengers and fishermen in the area.
The decommissioning of other oil rigs around the Pacific, as well as the sealing of their oil wells, has given rise to a network of artificial reefs developing on their underwater supports over time, supporting the growth of aquatic populations and fishing hotspots. As a result, the oil rig, nicknamed the "ShigRig" by locals, serves as a popular stop for fishermen to unload and trade their goods, while scavengers who collect resources from sunken cities and crashed cargo ships sell their wares in the rig's varied shops.
On the main deck of the oil rig is a marketplace populated by small stalls offering a variety of goods, while shops entrenched into repurposed interior regions line the inner decks of the platform. Below the platform lies a floating market dotted with the fishing and trading boats of merchants and nomads; some regulars, who consider the platform their central hub, and others who pass through the area during long voyages at sea.

We've provided a rough schedule for this year's event. All livestages will take place in the Shiguto Discord server.
All templates and entry-specific info can be found on the submission page.
There are no restrictions on dimensions or theme; go wild! Although, we'd love to see you challenge yourself and work within the game's theme and lore.
A rule-checking plugin is linked under each template - please use it! This will help you verify that your entry is following our requirements.

WHY CAN I NOT OPEN MY TEMPLATE?
CAN I ONLY USE PARTS AND TEXTURES FROM THE KIT?
The templates need to be unzipped (unpackaged) before they can be opened. They will also need to be opened manually in Roblox Studio, or "dragged" in. Rbxm (Roblox Model) files will not open only by clicking on them, and are not directly compatible with other 3D software.
WHY ARE THE APARTMENTS SO SMALL?
The sizing and part limit of the apartments were specifically chosen to force a cramped aesthetic.
You may notice we've included a building kit with each template. To some extent, you can use your own meshes, parts and textures, but be careful; some of them can be very hard on the game's performance. This may be a factor in which building entries we include in the final game. We highly encourage you to do an optimization pass on your entry once you're finished. Try to keep your mesh, union and tri count as low as possible.
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE PLUGIN?
CAN I PAINT THE WALLS?
You can paint exterior walls only when specified. We invite you to create your own interior walls and flooring on top of ours!
Plugins are downloaded inside Roblox Studio.
VIEW > TOOLBOX > DROP MENU > PLUGINS > SEARCH > SHIGUTO.
HOW DO I USE THE PLUGIN?
I'M OVER THE PART LIMIT; CAN I STILL SUBMIT?
No. To make this project playable across as many devices as possible, these guidelines must be followed exactly. Your submission would not appear in-game or on our website.
DO I GET ANYTHING FOR PARTICIPATING?
Yes! Eventually, all partipants will be featured on our website and recieve a contributor role in our Discord.
The plugin will read whichever model is currently selected. Group everything in the structure the templates originally came in before using the "package" function.
ARE THERE ANY SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS FOR PRIZES?
Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to anyone under 13 years of age. If you win, we will refer primarily to the guide below to figure out the best way to reach you.
